I’ve never been to a DNC before, but I’ve always watched from home. Even as a little kid, my mother and I would watch the convention on TV. I remember speeches by Barbara Jordan, Ann Richards and then my first time as a voter watching Bill Clinton.
I'm very sad to write that legendary activist Del Martin passed away yesterday morning. Phyllis Lyon, her partner of 55 years and wife of two months, was with her. Martin was 87 years old.
